Increased morbidities and mortalities associated with poor health and nutrition status continues to be experienced in Somalia affecting the social and economic well-being of the population. This has been majorly attributed to a poor health system due to conflict, limited resources, cultural beliefs, taboos and poor infrastructure making timely accessibility to quality health and nutrition services a challenge with children and women mostly affected. SAHAN in partnership with Ministry of Health and other relevant stakeholders purpose to provide timely and quality essential preventive ad curative services at health facility and community level and linkages between the community and the facility for improved uptake of services and consequently increased coverage. This is being realized and not limited to; Building capacity of health workers and community health workers, integrated community education, provision of health and nutrition supplies
