FOOD SECURITY & LIVELIHOODS SAHAN’s food security and livelihoods strategy entails promotion of good agricultural practices through training, provision of farm inputs and capacity strengthening of agricultural development institutions. Activities supported by SAHAN also include livestock and agricultural value chains development and diversification into other agro-based enterprises. For farmers to unlock their potential, DAN has also introduced technology in agricultural enterprises. Dry land farming is part of the agricultural practices promoted by DAN in rainfed areas that receive intermittent rainfall.
