Youth & Women Development

Youth constitute the single largest segment of the Somali population. SAHAN works in programs that promote employability of youth by providing them technical and vocational skills, formation and strengthening of youth cooperatives, provision of seed and business growth capital and entrepreneurship training to increase the participation of youth in profitable micro, small and medium sized enterprises (MSMEs). SAHAN works closely with the private and public sector to promote job-shadowing, internship, and mentorship of the youth by more established entrepreneurs. SAHAN further promotes networking of youth groups and associations for joint ventures and peer learning. We provide life skills to youth graduating from colleges to allow them to fit well in the labour market and in decisions they make about their lives.
